What's Money for???

But which came first?
Money or man?
Yes man! And now money rules man, doesn’t that tell you something?
Money isn’t natural.
Money is worthless in the eyes of nature yet money rules the world.
Money is the God that man worships.
Money is metal, paper and numbers.
Money is what we spend all our lives working for.
Money is what we spend all our lives spending.
Money is what keeps us going.
Money is what keeps us down.
Money is power and greed.
Capitalism is the new religion and
God has been sold out for the pound.

Money is what makes man thinks he is better than man!

Lovely poem dedicated to MORONS

O Poor People

Let us invoke a healthy heart-breaking
Towards the horrible world:
Let us say 0 poor people
How can they help being so absurd,
Misguided, abused, misled?
With unsifted saving graces jostling about
On a mucky medley of needs,
Like love-lit shit,
Year after cyclic year
The unidentifiable flying god is missed.
Emotions sit in their heads disguised as judges,
Or are twisted to look like mathematical formulae,
And only a scarce god-given scientist notices
His trembling lip melting the heart of the rat.
Whoever gave us the idea somebody loved us?
Far in our wounded depths faint memories cry,
A vision flickers below subliminally
But immanence looms unbearably:
TURN IT OFF! they hiss.
-Elizabeth Smart-
Hey poor people,
TURN IT OFF NOW,
MAKHAL SAKHTI, MAKHAL SAKHTI, MAKLHAL SAKTHI...

Lagu lama didendang lagi

Wrong turn Mr. Abdullah

KUALA LUMPUR: The government is hopeful that it would be able to reduce pump prices of petrol and diesel following the decline in the crude oil price in the world market.
“How much we will reduce depends on the reduction of the market price…I can’t say how much (will be reduced),” Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (pictured) said."At this time, the price of crude oil in the world market has fallen and there is good hope for us to reduce the fuel pump prices.

The government in June this year increased petrol price by 78sen to RM2.70 and diesel price by RM1 to RM2.58, following the sky-rocketing price of crude oil in the world market.
Announcing the increase then, Abdullah had said that the government would review the price of petrol and diesel on a monthly basis, depending on the price of the valued commodity in the world market.

It must also be noted that the government provides a 30sen subsidy for every litre of petrol and diesel sold at petrol stations. Speaking to reporters after opening the Kuala Lumpur Hawkers and Petty Traders Association’s congress here yesterday, the Prime Minister said while the quantum of reduction of fuel prices had yet to be decided, it “will definitely be reduced”.

“We are weighing the possibilities. We have said previously we would review the prices on a monthly basis and we will make the appropriate announcement on September 1.
“It will be based on the average of world oil prices taken for the whole month of August. “The more the price of crude oil in the world market goes down, the better and we will also maintain the 30 sen subsidy that we had announced earlier,” he said.

Abdullah also said the government would hold to its earlier announcement that the price of fuel would be reviewed on a monthly basis and announced it at the end of every month or the start of a new month. – Bernama

Menyusahkan, kejap kena buat gni, kejap buat gtu. Macam budak darjah 2. Barang sudah naik...macamana mau turun lagi. Kalau minyak turun, harga barang macamana pulak??? Rakyat susah sebab bukan harga minyak, tetapi harga barang makan. Kesian tengok orang-orang kampung di pedalaman yang teruk terjejas dengan keadaan ini. Pak Lah tolong fikir-fikirkan mereka ini. Mereka tidak punya hidup yang baik seperti anda.

Tanduk Badak Patah Lagi

I was at the Pasir Gudang Std which Sabah play against Johor FC in Malaysia Cup match. I’ve learnt that the game was put live on TV. Kalau saya tau awal-awal, bagus saya tingu di rumah saja. That was my very first time watching Rhinos on action this season. And guess what??? What a suck play by Rhinos. It was about 5 minutes left to play but I couldn’t stand to watch the game anymore. Although, Sabah was trailing a goal behind (2-1) at that time, I couldn’t see any effort or fight spirit among Rhinos players. I was at the back of Sabah goalmouth when the third Johor FC goal netted. Sial betul!!! Depan mata lagi tu. Worst blunder by Sabah defenders. Haiyooo, wasting my RM20 ooo that night.

I don’t think that I was happy with Sabah’s performance that night. What a terrible plays by some of Sabah players especially the Georgian (was substituted early in 1st half). Macam taik saja, awal-awal lahi sudah pancit. Buang duit saja. Itu Sabah punya defenders memang hancur berkecai. Wong Sai Kong tu inda buli pakai la. Badan saja tinggi tapi senang kena tambus. Except for the youngster, Nizamudin with his impressive run. Dia punya mainan lebi kurang dengan si Chow Chee Weng, macam lipas kudung. Tapi kurang support dari midfielder. Penyerang Rhinos ala-ala Adebayor tu pun susa mau tambus defender Johor FC. Apa tida, kana guard mati. Irwan Jamil pun kurang dia punya magic saves. Overall, memang kurang ummphh sudah Sabah main, tida macam dulu. Defender pun tiada yang karas macam Junaidy Tuah, Gerrard, Burhan & Jelius. Kaki karabau. Hehehe…

Apapun, saya tatap sukung. Kalah manang tatap sukung. Sabah tatap!!!

Mana suda skill marabahaya Matlan Marjan?

'Confusing answers to fake IC query' - What the hell!!!!

Kota Kinabalu: The answer given in Parliament on fake IC cases in the country is confusing, said Sabah DAP's Local Government and Housing Bureau chief, Edward Ewol Mujie.

Based on the written reply to Sepanggar MP Datuk Eric Majimbun who had asked about the number of people found guilty for having fake MyKads in each state, he said it was puzzling that there was none in Sabah.

The Home Ministry stated that from year 2004 to 2008, there were 562 cases of fake ICs detected.

The breakdown of these cases were 263 cases (under National Registration Department headquarters), 59 in Melaka, 32 in Kuala Lumpur, 26 (Perak), 21 (Selangor), four in Kelantan and one in Terengganu. Another 156 cases were described as being under police action.

"Sabah seems to be very clean as there are no cases but whether this scenario is true or not, nobody knows, unless the Government can confirm it," he said.

In fact, he said all the local newspapers have been publishing names of persons who had been convicted for possession of fake ICs (MyKad) in Sabah.

He said DAP wants the State Government to provide the actual figures and whether it is true that there were no cases of people being caught in Sabah for possession of fake Ics.

SAPP wants details on Sabah red IC holders

Kota Kinabalu: SAPP wants the Home Minister to disclose to the public the actual number of Red IC holders awarded Malaysian citizenship as well as those who are applying for it in Sabah, including their racial background.

Its Deputy President Datuk Eric Majimbun said this in response to the Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar's recent statement in Parliament that the Government will not be taking any action on citizenship applications from Red IC holders in Sabah because the number involved was small.
He said as the Minister in charge Syed Hamid should have had the figures and breakdown readily available and disclose these, rather than letting the public guess themselves.
Eric said many living in the remote rural areas in Sabah are either holding a Red IC or do not have an IC.

The Sepanggar MP also asked for the procedure of processing an application from Red IC holders for Malaysian citizenship to be done properly and transparently, to prevent any abuse.
He said the government also needs to be fair to genuine Sabahan bumiputeras, who are born outside the country like Brunei and now still holding a permanent resident status, who have applied for Malaysian citizenship but find it hard to get approval.

"When they apply for citizenship, even after so many years they cannot get it but are instead given permanent residence, while foreigners who maybe just arrived yesterday easily get citizenship," he claimed.

Syed Hamid, in answering a question from Kota Kinabalu MP Dr Hiew King Cheu, said if the holders of Red ICs wished to become Malaysian citizens they have to submit an application to the National Registration Department (NRD).

The Government will process their application and the decision will be forwarded to the applicant after considering all factors, he added.

Shame on you Mr. Abdullah Badawi

Malaysia-today.net

A US official said Thursday that the arrest of Malaysia's main opposition leader on sodomy allegations raises "serious questions and concerns."
Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Scot Marciel told reporters that the United States is following the case of Anwar Ibrahim closely and hopes Malaysia will "resolve the case in a way that enhances confidence in impartial rule of law" in the country.

The accusation against Anwar comes as the Malaysian government struggles to deal with growing dissatisfaction with the ruling coalition, which suffered election losses in March to a resurgent opposition. Anwar has vowed to build on that victory and topple the government late this year.

Anwar faced an accusation of sodomy 10 years ago. He has dismissed the latest allegations as a fabrication intended to halt his rise to power.

Sen. Joe Biden, Democratic chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said he was "shocked and disheartened" by Anwar's arrest, which "appears to be motivated by political considerations.

"Biden said in a statement that the treatment of Anwar a decade ago "greatly discredited Malaysia in the eyes of the world community." Current Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, he said, should "not repeat the mistakes of the past. I urge him to drop this political attack on a respected opposition figure and commit himself to rule of law and good governance in Malaysia." - AP

I found these best damn comments:

I heard over the radio that Najib ask the police to treat Anwar with respect! Man! With this comment: Najib totally lost all my respect for him! It's better he keep his mouth shut! The whole world know how much he hates him and he dare to say that just to gain popularity!

SHABERY SHOULD QUIT FOR FAILING TO EXPLAIN, SAYS JEFFERY

Kota Kinabalu: Information Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek should keep his pledge and resign from his post for failing to explain why the government raised the domestic fuel price so steeply and suddenly.

Parti Keadilan Rakyat Vice President Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan said the Minister not only failed to answer Anwar's questions but also resorted to personal attacks, which is rather unprofessional.

According to him, Anwar was focused, relaxed and professional. "If there was a contest, Anwar would have won hands down 10 to 1," he said in a statement here Wednesday.

The Minister, he said, also did not answer the question posed by a member of the panel on how the RM13 billion savings from subsidy would be utilised to improve public transportation as only RM800 million was spent from the earlier commitment of RM4 billion from a similar saving.
Shabery did not seem to listen to what Anwar was saying to the extent that the Minister could not differentiate between the revenues from Petronas to the government (which Anwar was referring) and the revenues retained and invested by Petronas.

He said the Minister was more interested in talking about the politics of the past (1974) which was totally unrelated to the debate rather than the current fuel price issues affecting the people.
"Unlike Anwar, who respected his opponent and avoided personal attacks, Shabery was totally defensive and unprofessional. Hence, Shabery should keep his pledge and resign. He is giving a bad leadership example for young people," he said.

ISA is f**k, Hamid Albar f**k, Democarcy??? What

Dear YB Syed Hamid AlbarHome Minister

Re: Aina Mardiah Shahrial, 17

You may not know Aina, she is the eldest daughter of Shahrial Sirin, an ISA detainee. On the afternoon of July 2, about 3 pm, she was admitted into Kajang Hospital. The girl was fighting for her life. The family immediately informed authorities at Kamunting, where her father had been detained for the last 7 years.

Somehow, Shahrial was only told of her daughter's illness at 10.30 am the next day, July 3. Aina's mother made a personal appeal to the authorities at Kamunting to let her daughter be with the dad for the last time. The doctors said Aina had only a few hours of life left, God-willing.

The authorities at Kamunting said they could not release Shahrial. They had to get your signature on the release papers. Yes, YB, your precious signature. Aina's father was finally released at 5pm. It was the longest four-hour journey to Kuala Lumpur. Shahrial got to her daughter's side at 9.45 pm. He was too late. Aina had passed away at 6.20pm without seeing her father.

Thank you, YB, and may Allah bless you and your family.

Village head shot dead

KENINGAU: A village head was shot dead with a home-made gun.

The person who shot Datirin bin Julani is a fellow resident of Kampung Tanggulun Jaya in Sook.

And he was said to have shot Datirin bin Julani twice while he was riding his motorcycle because he wanted to seek revenge on Datirin who he claimed was the “cause” of his skin disease.

Datirin died on the spot during the incident at about 1pm yesterday at an orchard, some five kilometers away from the village. He was shot on the neck and shoulder.

The suspect, 41, surrendered the bakakuk to the cops who arrived at the scene at about 240pm. District police chief DSP Zahari Mohamed said the suspect was still holding the bakakuk when the police team arrived.

“We are detaining him for investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code,” he added. Section 302 carries the mandatory death sentence in the event of conviction.

In the wake of the incident, Zahari advised local community leaders including village heads to ensure their residents do not possess bakakuks.

“They are also not allowed to possess bullets without a gun permit,” he said.
